MK Consultants, Inc. was founded by Mary K. Wendel in 1989 and it is still a privately owned company today. We are not affiliated with, nor backed by, any title company, servicer, foreclosure company, or newspaper. We are a member of the United Trustees Association and continuously educate ourselves of all statutory changes as well as local industry standards. Katie TerBush | PRESIDENT
Katie is a seasoned industry professional with over 20 years of experience. She has been with MK Consultants, Inc. since September 2012 and became Owner and President in 2025. Her goal is to continue to expand on the services currently offered while keeping the existing integrity and high standard of old-fashioned customer service. Katie plays an integral part in our industry’s educational associations and currently serves on the Board of the United Trustee’s Association. and has previously served on the former Arizona Trustee’s Association board.
If Katie isn’t at the office she is likely spending time with her family camping up north or adventuring out at the lake!
mary wendel | OF COUNSEL
Mary founded MK Consultants, Inc. in 1989, offering occupancy inspections, trustee’s sales postings, and auction services. Shortly thereafter, legal publishing, mailing services, and senior sale tracking/BAS services were added to the menu. The company continued to grow, offering additional products and services such as nationwide recording of documents, worldwide service of process, office support for trustees, mobile notary services and escrow signings, appraisals, and eviction coordination— the majority of which revolves around trustee’s sales. MK Consultants, Inc. is 36+ years old and still expanding!
Mary has been a member of the ATA and UTA and has attended all educational seminars and conferences. She has held the position of ATA vice-president and has served on its Education and Convention committees. Mary has spoken at ATA and UTA conferences, local paralegal associations, chapters of legal administrators/secretaries, presented a comprehensive foreclosure seminar to local law firms and title company employees, has been involved in the Tucson Paralegal Association and in the National Association of Legal Administrators, and has been hired in the past as an expert witness.
Mary transferred 100% of the company and its holdings to Katie TerBush on January 1, 2025. She remains available and is “of counsel”, but now spends as much time as possible at her Oregon Coast home gardening, crabbing, beach walking, and relaxing with a good Pinot Noir.
Cindy Lou Gregg
Service Coordinator
Cindy Lou Gregg has been in the foreclosure and legal industry for close to 35 years. She has processed foreclosures for banks and for “mom and pop” beneficiaries over the years. Cindy Lou also manages all service of process requests, putting in the due diligence of research and preparation to reduce time and cost for our clients. She’s creative, efficient, and never forgets a birthday!
During her down time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, and family.
Deb Youngblood
Order desk
Deb brings more than two decades of distinguished experience in operations management, client relations, and professional services to MK Consultants, Inc. A graduate of Arizona State University, Deb began her career in the financial industry, where she developed a strong foundation in organizational leadership and service excellence.
Throughout her career, Deb has earned numerous accolades recognizing her achievements in leadership, performance, and client service. She has successfully directed high-performing teams, led corporate training and development initiatives, and collaborated with industry professionals to navigate evolving market and regulatory environments.
As Legal Services Coordinator and Office Administrator at MK Consultants, Deb plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless coordination and timely execution of client matters. Her strategic approach, operational expertise, and commitment to quality service contribute significantly to the company’s ongoing success and reputation for excellence.
Outside of MK Consultants, Deb enjoys spending time with her husband, Kerry, and their son, Jaden. She is an avid reader and outdoor enthusiast who also enjoys home renovation projects.
Brittany Lajeunesse
Publications Coordinator
Brittany came to MKC with previous office experience in different fields and has found her home in our Publications department. She strives for perfect customer service and excellent communication with both our vendors and our clients. She’s possesses extreme attention to detail, enjoys growing our footprint and newspaper vendor pool, and has flourished as an important part of the MK Consultants, Inc. team!
Although Brittany does love her work family, when she’s not behind her desk juggling newspapers and ad placements, she’s spending as much time with her two kids and fur baby, Nala.
Julie Tejada
Back-Office Processor, Trustee’s Sale Officer
Julie has been in the mortgage industry for 33 years. She has been a front-line underwriter with a broad range of underwriting experience including FHA, VA, Conventional, Non-Conforming ALT-A, Subprime, and 2nd mortgage loans. She has also been a self-employed forensic underwriting consultant for 13 of those years. She conducted forensic underwriting reviews and authored expert witness rebuttal responses on closed loans included in secondary market securities litigation. Julie joined MKC in May 2023 and her attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to multi-task makes her fit right in with the rest of the team.
If Julie is not at the office, she’s likely spending time with her two kids, dogs, or working on one of her art projects such as painting or jewelry making.
Sara Pagan
Sales Coordinator
Sara Pagan is our dynamic foreclosure auction coordinator, playing a key role in the services MKC offers! With over 15 years of combined experience in project management, executive administration, and customer service, Sara brings a unique balance to a very busy, high-energy position. Prior to joining MK Consultants, Sara served as Chief of Staff at a roofing company, where she led the day to day operations, HR, and marketing initiatives, working directly with the executive team.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Sara is known for her professionalism, adaptability, and team-player attitude! She thrives in fast-paced environments where communication and problem-solving drive success. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family, learning all she can about AI, and sitting by a beach – preferably in Costa Rica!
Tricia DeSpain
Service of Process
Tricia has been in the legal field since 2010, specifically Service of Process, and fortunately, brought her expertise to MKC. She calmly handles all client requests and rushes with Cindy Lou’s oversight. Tricia assists in all other departments and is happily learning new tasks and processes. Her free time is spent enjoying her 4 kids (3 sons, 1 daughter) and grandkids (mostly grandkids!– 3 granddaughters, 1 grandson). Tricia also spends a lot of time swimming, cooking, and just enjoying family time.
Julia Wawrzyniak
Accounts Receivable
Julia recently joined MK Consultants, as the head of the Accounts Receivable Department. She is amazing at paying attention to detail, very necessary in this area! With her organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, she has found her place at MK. She brings a positive attitude to the office, which is projected to others around her. This Arizona State University graduate has over 20 years of professional experience. In her free time, you can find Julia shooting pool or going on adventures. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and super cute dog, Baily!
